The story of the piece

Haathi is the elephant — across India a sign of good fortune and of royal procession. A herd of small elephants is woven across the ground in a single colour, and the stole ends in a festive border of larger, caparisoned elephants in saffron, scarlet and teal. Playful, and unmistakably of the subcontinent.
