We hold private video consultations from mid-morning to evening Singapore and Hong Kong time, in natural daylight at the atelier so that silk shows its true colour. You see each piece turned in the light, the back of every carpet, and the knots counted on camera.

For a significant commission we can also discuss a viewing at your residence or with your designer.

Fine, and not large

At 576 knots per square inch and above, a 3 × 5 ft silk carpet carries more work than most 9 × 12 ft wool rugs, and rewards the close viewing an apartment allows. Pictorial silks, papier-mâché Darbar pieces and single-block walnut sculpture suit collections where each object is looked at, not walked past.

Humidity and care

In tropical humidity we advise air-conditioned rooms for silk and papier-mâché, and provide care guidance with every piece.

Delivery to Singapore and Hong Kong

Every piece is packed by hand at the atelier — carpets rolled around a core in breathable cloth, papier-mâché and copper cushioned in fitted cartons — and sent door-to-door by insured international courier with tracking.

Import duties and local taxes vary by country and are set by your customs authority; we tell you what to expect before you confirm, and prepare every document your customs office needs, including the GI certification for carpets and Pashmina.
