Consultation in your time zone
We hold private video consultations in the Australian morning — evening in Kashmir — Sydney and Melbourne time, in natural daylight at the atelier so that silk shows its true colour. You see each piece turned in the light, the back of every carpet, and the knots counted on camera.
For a significant commission we can also discuss a viewing at your residence or with your designer.
Silk in strong light
In a sunlit room silk shows its full lustre, but it also asks for care: we advise on placement away from direct sun, and on palettes — the turquoise Kashan, the rose-and-sage Hamdaan — that hold their brilliance in bright interiors.
Delivery to Australia and New Zealand
Every piece is packed by hand at the atelier — carpets rolled around a core in breathable cloth, papier-mâché and copper cushioned in fitted cartons — and sent door-to-door by insured international courier with tracking.
Import duties and local taxes vary by country and are set by your customs authority; we tell you what to expect before you confirm, and prepare every document your customs office needs, including the GI certification for carpets and Pashmina.
