Shirk Posh

Shirk Posh is the jeweller's design of Kashmiri papier-mâché: small flowers on fine curling stems, drawn with great precision and set against a strong ground — brilliant blue, turquoise or black — with gold used for the stems and outlines.

Shirk Posh

Blue and gold

The classic Shirk Posh colourway is lapis or turquoise with gold, which gives even a small tissue box or photo frame the richness of enamel. Because the motifs are small and regular, the design suits geometric forms — octagonal boxes, frames, pairs of vases.
